  What is Ayurveda ?
Ayurveda, the " knowledge of long Life"

As the oldest delivered science, it dedicates itself completely to human being and the preservation of health of body and soul. Ayurveda differs from other traditional sciences in the fact, that it looks for the cause of illnesses not primarily in external influences, but already tries to prevent them by finding an internal balance. In this way you can prevent illnesses and work against the aging process. Due to increasing body consciousness, Ayurveda enjoys of rising popularity also in the western world. In this way the oldest delivered health science is discovered again today and is employed absolutely rightfully in modern fields like the fasting, the stress management, the "Burnout regeneration", the Anti-Aging as well as into certain other health-relevant fields of our life.

Ayurveda treatments
extend over a very broad spectrum. By far the most popular ayurvedic treatments are applications with oils and pleasant massages. Not to forget that nutrition is one of the most important aspects in Ayurveda. A famous ayurvedic saying is that "man is the product of his nutrition". In Ayurveda massages are accomplished predominantly with oils. In addition, there are very effective massages with powders, pastes and with raw silk gloves. These find application according to the desired effect. The best-known oil treatment is probably the Shirodhara, the ayurvedic forehead oil-flow treatment. It is also important, that in the Ayurveda the treatment of an identical symptom from different persons does not involve the same treatment by all means. The treatment has to harmonize with the persons individual constitution, that means the Doshas of each individual.
Ayurveda as holistic science
includes all fields of life. More than 5,000 years ago there was no separation in science, like natural sciences, philosophy or religion. The knowledge was regarded entirely, exactly like life and exactly that is it, what Ayurveda stands for: The knowledge of life.
