Anti-Aging with Ayurveda

Today many people associate the term "anti-aging" with a lifestyle therapy which will magically wipe out wrinkles and provide everlasting youth. In Ayurveda anti-aging means primarily maintaining a healthy body into old age and slowing down the processes of aging, wear and tear, and degeneration. The aim of Ayurveda anti-aging is to aspire to a healthy aging process, to keep both body and mind functioning at optimal capacity, so that the fruits of old age can be enjoyed with vitality and serenity. A more appropriate term for “Ayurveda anti-aging” would be “good aging”. Because the benefits of age – life experience and maturity – should not be denied.
